The Balmain Cottage Garden involved the renovation of an existing heritage structure and the construction of a new dwelling and lush gardens, located within the leafy harbour suburb of Balmain. The site includes significant sandstone embankments and existing trees that were incorporated within the new garden design.
The design of the garden reflects the heritage structure addressing the street. Smaller more intimate spaces are located between the two structures. The rear garden reflects the contemporary design of the extension, providing a mix of different entertaining and garden spaces.
Paddock were involved throughout the design, documentation and construction phases of the project.
